GETAC SERIAL NUMBER LOGIC

 

Getac uses the logic outlined below to create serial numbers for their devices. Consider example Serial Number:

 

Example Serial Number: RK903V1477 Meaning
RK903V1477 No special meaning (Rugged)
RK903V1477

A hexadecimal value representing the year the device was manufactured. *See the hexadecimal chart below.


In our example serial number RK903V1477, “K” represents 19, meaning this device was manufactured 2019.

The month of the calendar year the device was manufactured.


In our example serial number RK903V1477, “9” indicates this device was manufactured in September.

The number of months for which the device is covered by warranty.


In our example serial number RK903V1477, “03” represents a 3-Year warranty, plus the 1 months of grace time that is added to all warranties.

Single letter indicating model type:

B = B Series; B300 (all generations), B360

F = F Series; F110
P = P Series; P236, P336

S = S Series; S400, S410, S510
V = V Series; V100, V200, V110

A = A140

X = X500, X600

U = UX10

In our example serial number RD839S0228, “S” indicates that this is an S-series device (it is an S400).
