Q: Our software is not able to find the GPS but G-Manager is able to acquire. Is there something to check to correct this issue?

 

A: If your software needs to pull GPS from the COM port instead of from Windows location sensor please follow these steps to disable the GeoLocation Sensor:
 

  1. Open Device Manager
  2. Open Sensor Section
  3. Right Click GeoLocation Sensor
  4. Click Disable
  5. Open G-Manager
  6. Open the Info Section
  7. Open GPS Section
  8. Start GPS and watch which COM Port is the last shown before it starts pulling GPS Data
  9. Stop GPS
  10. Open your software and point it to the COM port G-Manager showed
