Mute On
To mute all audio being recorded, the BWC must first be recording, then the mute button must be pressed for approximately 1 second and released. The BWC will then say, "mute on."
The following occurs when a recording is muted:
- Audio will no longer be recorded.
- A Bookmark will be placed on the timeline to indicate that audio was muted.
Caution:BWCs, replacing the wireless microphone, CANNOT mute an MVS using this process. See here for more information.
Mute Off
To unmute and begin capturing audio again, the mute button must be pressed for approximately 1 second and released. This is the exact same process to mute audio during a recording.
The following occurs when a recording is unmuted:
- Audio will begin recording again.
- A Bookmark will be placed on the timeline to indicate when audio was unmuted.
Note:
- Audio can be muted and unmuted as many times as needed by the operator.
- This feature can be disabled entirely via the Unit Configuration Template in Getac Enterprise.
- This process also applies to mute/unmute audio during an Audio-Only Recording.
