Q: Can my unit be turned into a hotspot?

A: It depends on your WiFi Card. How to check if your WiFi card supports Hotspot:

If your WiFi Card is capable then below are your options:

  1. If you have Windows 7 you will need to find a 3rd party tool to assist with this as Windows 7 is not capable on its own
  2. For Windows 10 please follow these steps:
    1. Click the Windows Flag
    2. Click the Settings Button
    3. Click Network & Internet
    4. Click Mobile Hotspot
    5. Choose the dropdown of where to share from, WiFi
    6. Turn On the switch at the top
    7. It will give you the network name and password to use for that hotspot
  3. Windows 8.1 has similar directions to Windows 10
