Q: Am I able to clone our drive after installing all our software after its already at the desktop?

A: Please see below describing each:

OEM License “The OEM license for the Windows operating system for desktop PCs is “tied” to the device on which it is preinstalled. Accordingly, customers may not reassign it to a different device."

  1. This means you CANNOTclone, copy, redistribute, duplicate, or deploy an OEM license from one machine to another, even if it is the same model and it came with the SAME OEM LICENSE.

  2. Example. Customer buys 10 identical S410 laptops with Windows 10 Pro installed. Customer boots up one of the S410 laptops, loads their apps and preferences, removes the Disk Drive and duplicates it to the other 9 laptops. The customer just violated the OEM license. Microsoft could sue them and would win.
