Q: How do I downgrade my TPM 2.0 to 1.2?
A: Please follow these steps:
- Open PowerShell on the unit in question
- Type Get-TPM | Select ManufacturerVersion
- Press Enter
a. It will display your current version example: 5.51 or 5.62 - Visit our Getac Driver Page https://support.getac.com/Portal/Page/763
- Put in your serial number and press Submit
- Find the TPM downgrade from 2.0 to 1.2 that goes with your current version
- Click Download across from it
- Disable Bitlocker function from Windows OS
- Create a UEFI bootable USB Stick
- Unzip file downloaded and put contents on USB
- Reset Computer and go into BIOS
- Go to the Security Tab of BIOS
- Enter TPM setup menu
- Change TPM support from Enabled to Disabled
- Change Intel Trusted Execution Technology from Enabled to Disabled (if it is available, if not then skip)
- Save and exit BIOS
- Insert TPM firmware update USB you created if it is not already inserted
- UEFI boot from USB TPM firmware update disk
- Execute update.nsh
- Wait for TPM firmware update and TPM provision to complete
- Once Complete press and hold power button to power off system
