Warning:
Be sure the weapon is unloaded during this process.
- Find desired location on the holster
- The ideal location is on the inside or edge of the holster. If applied to the outside, the sensor is susceptible to damage.
- Make sure, when applied, that metal from the weapon is detectable by the sensor.
- Test the Sensor
- Insert the weapon into the holster and hold the sensor in the desired location with a finger.
- The LED will flash green when it detects the weapon.
- Remove weapon from the holster.
- The LED will flash red, and the BWC will begin recording.
- Mount the Sensor
- Once satisfied with the location, use the adhesive to attach the sensor to the holster and test again.
- Mount the sensor in the same location for same style holsters.
See the image below for an example:
Note:
- The surface of each holster is different, so it is best to find as flat a surface as possible for mounting.
- Mounting on the outside of the holster could result in damage to the sensor.
TASER®
Warning:
Always deactivate TASER and remove cartridge during installation.
- Find the Desired Location
- The sensor requires a metal surface to be used on the weapon. Since the TASER® is made of plastic, it requires a metal tape to be applied on the exterior.
- Locate an area on the TASER® and the TASER® holster where the metal tape and the sensor can both be mounted and be able to connect through the holster.
- Apply the metal tape to the TASER® .
- Test the Sensor
- Test the sensor by holding it on the desired location with a finger with the TASER® inserted.
- The LED will flash green when it detects the TASER® .
- Remove the TASER® .
- The sensor's LED will flash red, and the BWC will begin recording.
- Mount the Sensor
- Use the adhesive to attach the sensor to the holster and test again.
- Mount the sensor in the same location for same-style TASER® holsters.
