Assets Overview

In the Getac Enterprise, the term Asset refers to any type of digital media, such as:

  • Videos
  • Pictures
  • Audio files
  • Documents (any accepted Windows file format)

These types of files can be uploaded and stored from both Getac and non-getac capture devices for evidentiary purposes. Once uploaded, all Assets can be categorized and receive a Checksum to validate that they haven't been tampered with.

Asset File Structure

File names for Assets are as follows:

  • InCar - {UnitID}_{CameraName}_{Unit_Serial]_{MMDDYYYY}{hhmmss}
Note:

e.g., Unit1_Backseat_1_03282022151517

  • BC-02 - {UnitID}_[Unit_Serial_offloader]_[{MMDDYY}{hhmmss}_{sequence_number}
Note:
  • e.g., BC20000057_1018_072022105338_1
  • Unit_serial_offloader is the serial number of the device offloaded through (MasterDock or InCar).
  • Sequence number is if there are multiple videos in an Asset Group there's a sequence number associated.
  • BC-03 - {UnitID}_{Unit_Serial}_{MMDDYYYY}{hhmmss}

  • Imported PDF/Video/Excel - Import_{FileType}_{YYYYMDD}{hhmmss}
Note:

e.g. Import_Video_2022720611497703769

User access to each Asset and any settings is controlled by the user's profile and group. For information about your level of access, consult with an administrator or [email protected].
