However, since Getac Enterprise is highly configurable, the ability to complete tasks described in this article may be different for each User, depending on policy. Please contact an administrator with all access questions and concerns.
Overview
As laid out in the CAD Sync Service Overview article, incoming CAD data is stored in a SQL Database that Getac Enterprise queries to find CAD IDs to video Asset matches. There is also the option to perform the query or search again.
CAD Search Results
Perform the following steps to see the status of the CAD DB query:
- Go to the Main Assets Page.
- Check the box to the left of the Asset.
- Click the Gear icon.
- Click on View CAD Query Results.
See image below for an example:
A CAD Sync Control pop up window that will show all the past query results for that Asset.
Success with Result
When the CAD query returns a cCAD ID, the Status will be SuccesswithResult. The Message of the result will show a few items of Metadata, including which Mode is being used, details on the evidence group that the match was performed on, the CAD ID that was returned, and the Category that was returned.
Matched CAD Category
If your Agency has enabled Automatic CAD Categorization, there will be a matched Category in the return Message along with the other Metadata.
CAD Category not found
If using Automatic Categorization, there will be a Status of SuccesswithResult, but within the Message there will be Category not found.
If NOT using Automatic Categorization and the success message says Category not found, this means that the specific CAD Category for that event was not added to the Automatic CAD Categorization list. If this happens, the CAD Category can be added to the list by reaching out to [email protected].
Success with No Result
A Status of SuccesswithNoResult means that Getac Enterprise was successful at connecting to the CAD Sync Server's SQL Database, but there was no CAD ID match for the given video Asset. This can happen if the CAD data is not yet in the database or if there wasn't enough accurate data to generate a match.
Failure Service
When the Status returned is FailureService, this is referring to the CAD Sync Service (also known as GetacClientSyncService) hosted on a separate server from Getac Enterprise. The service was not able to connect, meaning that the CAD Sync Service has been stopped. To fix this, contact [email protected], and they will be able to get the service back up and running.
Retry CAD Query
If there is no CAD ID match, but it is believed that new data is in the CAD Sync SQL Database, there is an option to force a retry to the database. This can be initiated by clicking on the refresh button in the upper left-hand side of the CAD Sync Control window. Confirm that a retry is desired by clicking Yes.
The CAD Sync Control window will now have a Status line reading Retry (see image below).
