Overview
The Categorize tab allows for managing applied categories to an Asset Group. Ideally, all Assets are categorized prior to upload, but if not they can be added here or from the Main Assets page.

Note:
This feature requires additional permissions to perform. Typically, these permissions are only given to Supervisors or Administrators, depending on Agency policy. Contact an administrator if unable to access these options.
To remove one or more applied categories, click on the "x" to the right of the Category, then click on save as shown in the image below. Additional categories can always be added as needed. See Categorizing Assets for how to perform this action.
Caution:
Custom form data will also be removed from the Asset upon category removal and CANNOT be recovered.
Warning:
Data deletion is possible if the Asset has already exceeded the Retention period for either Uncategorized or other selected Categories. Message bubbles will warn and require acceptance before the system will allow these changes. Be sure to check before applying a Category with a lower retention period than originally applied.
